Altaf felicitates Shahbaz Sharif

KARACHI - The MQM on Tuesday endorsed a proposal from its party chief Altaf Hussain, in which he had urged the PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif respond positively to PPPs friendship offer and extended his full support to the both parties. Addressing a general meeting of the MQM workers at Lal-Qila Ground Altaf Hussain Hussain demanded of the PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif to join PPP to steer the country out of the present crises. Referring to the allegations from international community against Pakistan, he urged the global powers to support the country in war on terror. He underlined the need to stop the levelling baseless allegations against Pakistan saying that hundreds of Pakistani soldiers had sacrificed their lives in the war on terror. Altaf urged the people of Sindh to get united against religious extremists. He pointed out that religious extremists were threatening industrialists in Karachi with a view to extort money otherwise their children would be kidnapped. He said that people of Sindh would not allow the extremist elements to occupy the land of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, Lal Shahbaz Qalandar and Sachal Sarmast. He added that MQM strongly opposed all sorts of religious extremism and demanded the entire Pakistani nation to join hands against the fanaticism. They are badly destroying the image of Islam, the religion of peace and prosperity, he added. Altaf said it was the responsibility of the people from all the four province of the country to come forward and stand against the bamboo stick Shariah. He said that country was facing crucial challenges and urged the political and religious parties to get united against the threat of terrorism. He added the stability of Pakistan needed unity among the political and religious parties of the country. He congratulated Mian Shahbaz Sharif and the PML-N workers on the restoration of their government in Punjab. The MQM leader also felicitated President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani over their decision to end the Governors rule in Punjab.
