UNITED NATIONS - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned Monday's terrorist attack on a police academy in Lahore , hoping that the Pakistani authorities would establish responsibility for the assault. "The Secretary-General is distressed by the attack on the police academy and the resulting loss of life and injuries," Farhan Haq, the UN Associate Spokesman. said in a statement on Tuesday. "He (Ban) extends his sympathies to the families of those killed and to the injured. He hopes the authorities will carry out an investigation and establish responsibility for the attack," the statement added. The UN chief is in The Hague, Netherlands, attending the conference on Afghanistan.
