Teen in need of financial help

LAHORE - A boy namely Adnan who has been diagnosed with T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma needs financial support.

Lymphoblastic lymphoma (LL) is a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that mainly affects children and teenagers. It is similar to a condition called acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Lymphoma starts when white blood cells, called lymphocytes, become abnormal and grow in an uncontrolled way.

The 17-year-old son of Yousuf belongs to a very poor family while his treatment costs Rs1 million,” said Dr Nadia Sajid, Consultant Medical Haematologist at Inmol hospital.

The patient was registered at Inmol Lahore on October 24 and his medical record number is 041637-17R. “Adnan’s treatment consists of four cycles chemotherapy and the cost of one cycle is Rs200,000. He needs investigation during treatment that costs Rs200,000. Thus the total cost of his treatment is Rs1 million,” she said.
