RAWALPINDI - Street crimes are on peak in the limits of police station New Town, as armed robbers deprived two women of gold ornaments and mobile phones.
Similarly, the robbers stormed into a house in Civil Line area and made off with gold, cash and mobile phones while auto thieves lifted a car and two motorcycles, informed sources on Friday.
According to sources, dacoits riding on a motorcycle intercepted a female at gunpoint at Chinar Park, snatched her two mobile phones and gold ornaments and went away. Similarly, armed robbers stopped a family going in a car and snatched gold bangles at gunpoint in the limits of the same police station. A car (LZL-3271) owned by Arshad was also pilfered by unknown carjackers.
Likewise, robbers committed robbery at the house of one Taimur Khan located in the area of PS Civil Line and looted 18 tolas of gold, one laptop, three mobile phones, one pistol and Rs 130,000 cash. On the other hand, thieves lifted two motorcycles (CD-616, RIN-2572) from the limits of PS Morgah. Meanwhile, two young girls were also kidnapped from the limits of police stations Morgah and Ratta Amral. Police registered separate cases and started investigation.
