Finance Minister Ishaq Dar yet again failed to appear before accountability court in graft case of holding assets beyond knows sources of income filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as the hearing resumes today.
As soon as hearing started, junior council of Dar, Ayesha submitted medical report of the minister stating her client is not able to "stand for more then four minutes" and requested exemption for Dar.
Dar's senior legal counselor Khawaja Haris is out of the country.
The report further stated that Dar is facing cardiac issues and doctors have recommended angiography for him.
The court ordered NAB to probe authenticity of medical report. Upon which NAB prosecutor told the court that this report is not from a government hospital rather from a private clinic and has not come through proper channel.
"The report should have been come through Foreign Office and received by Pakistan High Commission," NAB told the court.
Furthermore, after reserving the verdict, the court accepts Dar's exemption from today's hearing but held up bailable arrest warrants of the minister.
The court, however, rejected NAB's appeal for non-bailable arrest warrants for Ishaq Dar.
