GUJRANWALA - The residents of Union Council No54 protested against their chairman for allegedly supporting the land mafia. The protesters including men and women staged a demonstration in front of CPO office.
They alleged that UC chairman was a part of land mafia that has grabbed the plots and houses of the residents. They demanded that action be taken against the chairman.
Meanwhile, FIA team raided General Bus Stand Gujrat and off loaded 13 passengers and arrested a land route agent on the spot. It was told that on a tip off, the FIA team headed by Assistant Director Sarwar along with the team raided General Bus Stand and offloaded the 13 passengers and arrested agent Qaiser Aziz on the spot. The passengers said that they have paid heavy money to different agents so as to cross the Turkey border illegally.
