Islamabad: Adoption of modern sanitation systems will improve the standard of cleanliness in rural and urban areas of the federal capital, Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz said on Saturday.

In a statement, the mayor said that tenders from both national and multinational companies had been sought to commission the latest technology in cleanliness system.

He added that the Sanitation Directorate of CDA was the one of the important formations of Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI).

He said that standard of cleanliness in the city suffered in the past as this formation remained neglected.–Staff Report

 

AIOU reschedules postponed papers

 

ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University rescheduled the papers which were earlier scheduled to be held on November 27 and 28 but were postponed due to the law and order situation.

According to the new schedule, the paper in course code 219 (Matric) will be held on December 11 while the paper in course code 254 (Matric) will be held on December 12, a statement said on Saturday.

The papers of all other programmes which were earlier scheduled to be held on November 27 will now be held on January 12 and the papers which were scheduled on November 28 will now be held on January 15.

According to the Controller of Examinations, new roll number slips would be issued to the students, however; examination centres and timings would remain unchanged.–APP
