Call for equality and justice

PR LAHORE - Participants at an Iftar party yesterday at Bakhtiar Labour Hall yesterday prayed for the success of Pakistani nation in its struggle for establishing a society based upon equality, fraternity and democracy free from exploitation as enunciated by the founding father, Dr Allama lqbal.

The ceremony, held under the aegis of All Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Workers Union, was addressed by Union general secretary Khurshid Ahmed along with Badar-ul-Munir Murtaza Member (Power) and General Manager (Hydel) Captain (r) Bashir Ahmed and others.

They said that the Holy Quran is a source of guidance for the whole mankind. “This teaches all mankind for upholding the principles of the justice, knowledge and love. All the Muslim nations need to practice these teachings in order to get ridden of plight of poverty and unemployment, injustice, ignorance and division on sectarian basis and abolish irrational gap between the rich and poor in the society at the earliest and become self reliant,” they added.
