LAHORE - Lahore High Court Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah yesterday transferred Registrar Tariq Iftikhar and made him officer on special duty (OSD).

The CJ posted  District and Sessions Judge Syed Khurshid Anwar Rizvi as new registrar of the high court. District & Sessions Judge Tahir Sabir was posted as Member Inspection Team (MIT) of the LHC .

The CJ  also constituted “District Judiciary Advisory Committee” to effectively address issues related to the district judiciary. The committee comprises six D&SJs, three AD&SJS, two Senior Civil Judges and a Civil Judge.

Case Management Plan: A full court meeting of Lahore High Court yesterday approved a Case Management Plan 2016 (CMP) for the betterment of dispensation of justice system. Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah presided over the meeting at high court’s principal seat which was attended by all sitting judges of the high court. The meeting was held to approve Case Management Plan.

The approved Plan would include centralised and multicolour cause lists, formulation of time specific dockets, constitution of special benches based on categories of cases, three months rosters, auditing of all pending cases, full day and specialised division benches, revision of objection sheets etc.

The meeting held that phenomenon of frequent adjournments in cases was a big hurdle in dispensation of speedy justice. It emphasised that there was a dire need to develop such mechanisms so as to curb the menace of adjournments.
