Rawalpindi - The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has cancelled leaves its anti-dengue staff after constant rise in dengue cases was witnessed in the last couple of days.

While expressing dissatisfaction over the performance of the anti-dengue staff , the RDA notification said that leaves of all field staffers of WASA and other sub-organizations has been be cancelled in view of the rising number of cases.

The notification said that field directors and other staff will perform their duties during Eid holidays.

Separately, Pirwadhai police have arrested four alleged gamblers and seized stake money. On tip-off, the police raided a gambling den and arrested four alleged gamblers identified as Bilal, Nouman, Atta and Khadim. The police also seized Rs16,00 in stake money, 4 kg hashish and 90 litter liquor from them. The police have registered a case and started investigation. Meanwhile, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has declared final results of Arabic Teacher Training Course Certificate of Teaching (ATTC) and (CT) programmes for Semester Autumn, 2015.

The result cards were being sent to the students on their postal addresses while result of PTC and BEd programmes will be announced by the mid of July, said a press release issued here on Saturday. 

 The AIOU recently introduced an online tracking system for facilitation of students to check status of their degrees and certificates and the status of the applications submitted by the students for provisional result cards and degrees could now be checked on university’s website. 

The new IT-based mechanism was developed in order to minimize the coordination and communication gap between the applicants and the examination department.

 The AIOU has recently introduced a number of initiatives to bring about qualitative improvement in the entire admission, examination and delivery system.
