WASHINGTON: Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump has lost two staffers who handled his campaign surrogate operations, according to a new report that brings into the open the latest internal strife to hit his campaign .

The aides, Kevin Kellems and Erica Freeman, both resigned, The New York Times reported today. “While brief, it has been an interesting experience, and [I] am proud of the contributions made through our early-phase project endeavours,” Kellems wrote in a resignation letter shared with some other staff members. “Also have enjoyed meeting some fine and dedicated individuals throughout the organization.–Special Correspondent

Look forward to running across several of you going forward.”

Freeman left after the presumptive GOP presidential nominee publicly contradicted an email she sent supporters early last month.

Trump blasted Freeman’s email for suggesting his surrogates stop discussing controversial lawsuits against Trump University.

“Take that order and throw it the hell out,” he said during a conference call on June 6, according to Bloomberg News.

“Are there any other stupid letters that were sent to you folks? That’s one of the reasons I want to have this call, because you guys are getting sometimes stupid information from people that aren’t so smart.”

The pair’s departure follows Thursday’s hasty exit of Vincent Harris, a new digital strategist, just two days after his hiring.
