Case lodged against two brothers

LAHORE - District and Sessions Court on Friday issued orders to register a case under Anti-Terrorism Act against two brothers, Kamran and Adnan on the charges of smashing and giving life threats to a courts bailiff in the premises of district courts. The court directed the concerned police officials to make sure the arrest of said brothers and produce them in anti-terrorism court. According to details, Saima, a resident of Jafferia Colony, had filed a habeas corpus petition in the court alleging that her husband Kamran had illegally kept her four-year-old son Kaif. She contended that she had a bitter wedlock and they used to quarrel a lot. Few days back, her husband brutally tortured her, kicked her out from his home and snatched Kaif. She prayed before the court for the recovery of her son. On her plea the court deputed Zulifqar as bailiff. On the petitioners direction the courts bailiff raided the house of Kamran and found Kaif. Meanwhile, Kamran along with his brother Adnan resisted and warned the courts bailiff to be ready for the dire consequences. Later, bailiff produced the minor and submitted his report before the court. Interestingly, furious brothers followed Zulifqar even in the courts premises and gave him a good thrash there. Both the brothers gave life threats to the bailiff and managed to escape as well. District and sessions judge while taking a serious notice of this assault on the courts representative ordered to register a case against both the brothers under different sections of anti-terrorism act. On Friday, police immediately responded to the court orders and registered a case against both the accused. The court handed over Kaif to her mother.
