LAHORE - Lahore Women Under-19 thrashed Quetta team with 10 wickets in the National Women Under-19 Cricket Championship played here at Lahore Country Club, Muridke on Friday. Quetta Women U-19, batting first, scored just 20 runs losing all their wickets in 13.1 overs. Not even a single player of Quetta reached double figures. For Lahore team, Hina Azam, Faryal Awan, Bismah Maroof, Farrah Naeem shared two wickets each for 4, 1, 1 and 3 runs respectively. Lahore Women U-19, in reply, achieved the target without losing any wicket in just 2.1 overs. Farrah Naeem made unbeaten 8 runs. Faryal Awan was declared player of the match. Saleem Butt and Sumera Aftab were umpires while Jamshaid Hussain was referee and Sajjad-Ul-Hasan scorer. In another match played at the same venue, Rawalpindi Women Under-19 outplayed Hyderabad team by 125 runs. Batting first, Rawalpindi team posted a huge total of 167 runs for seven in 20 overs with Sadia Khaliq scoring 68 runs with the help of 11 boundaries and a six and Zara Iqbal made 24. Anzal Ali was the only player who reached the double figures and made 11 runs. Amna Usman grabbed four wickets for two while Zara Iqbal took three for five.
