LAHORE - Provincial Minister for Finance, Planning & Development, Tanvir Ashraf Kaira has said that Rs 54 billion are being spent for infrastructure development in the province and Rs 30 billion has been earmarked for construction and rehabilitation of roads. He expressed these views while presiding over the meeting of a committee regarding construction and rehabilitation of roads at Planning and Development Department here on Friday. The Minister said that many new roads are being completed while Lahore-Kasur road has been completed. He said that patchwork should be done accordingly on old roads and special attention should be paid in this regard so that roads could not be damaged further. He said that over-weight vehicles should also be checked properly and weight of vehicles should according to the road load.
