SIALKOT-The Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) transferred all the employees of the ACE Technical Branch (Gujranwala Region) after the recovery of 221 lost files of high-profile corruption cases from the office cupboards.
According to the senior ACE officials, high file corruption cases' files are forwarded to the ACE's Technical Branch for the inquiries but the staff and officials deputed there had deliberately buried the files of 221 cases and were not being found for several years due to which there was no further progress on these cases and inquiries.
ACE Punjab Director General Muzaffar Ali Ranjha sent special teams to Gujranwala ACE Regional Offices, which conducted audit and recovered the lost files from the old rusting and dusty cupboards of the ACE Technical Branch. Meanwhile, the ACE Gujranwala Regional Director has also started a strict departmental probe in this regard.
TWO KILLED: Two motorcyclists Munawar Hussain and Muhammad Irfan died when their motorcycles collided with each other near village Majra, Sambrial tehsil. They were laid to rest in their native graveyards at villages Kotha Musharraf and Chhani Gondal.

The management of the Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) hosted a ceremony to celebrate the completion of 10 year of its launch.
The first PTI flight from Karachi had landed at Sialkot international airport on Nov 30, 2007. On the occasion, SIAL Chairman Khawar Anwar Khawaja shared the success story of Sialkot international airport.
He said that it was set up by Sialkot exporters on self help basis opening new vistas of socio-economic development in Pakistan's first-ever "Golden Export Triangle" consisting of Sialkot, Gujrat and Gujranwala districts.
He said that the Sialkot exporters played a pivotal role strengthening the national economy by earning precious foreign exchange to the tune of US$2 billion annually.
He added now as many as 51 international passenger flight in a week a taking off to the foreign destinations from Sialkot international airport, saying that the number of these flights would soon be increased due to the growing number of the passengers here. He said that the regular cargo flights to Europe and America were on from Sialkot airport for facilitating the Sialkot exporters in handling their cargo consignments to the foreign destinations.
He said that the management of SIAL had formally invited several international airlines to come to Pakistan and start their international passenger and cargo flights from Sialkot to several foreign destinations. He added that Sialkot airport could be a very successful foreign destination for airlines. He said the Sialkot exporters have written a unique golden history of self-help by completing the mega project.
