Pakitsan out of World Cup race after BD?draw

LAHORE Pakistan, Bangl-adesh match of the second leg of the World Cup Soccer qualifier ended in a draw here at the Punjab Stadium on Sunday. The drawn match ended Pakistan hopes for qualifying for the second as Pakistan needed 4-0 victory on aggregate to enter the second round of the qualifying matches. Earlier in the first leg match played in Dhaka last month, Bangladesh registered 3-0 victory against Pakistan. In another match played in Taiwan, Malaysian goalkeeper Sharbinee Ramli saved a penalty Sunday to help his side advance to the second round of Asias World Cup qualifiers on away goals despite losing 3-2 to Taiwan in Taipei. Aidil Abd Radzak put Malaysia ahead in the eighth minute with a 35-meter free kick, before Taiwans Chang Han equalized in the 31st minute. Safiq Rahim edged Malaysia ahead again in the 40th minute from a free kick, but Taiwan again surged back and scored twice from the spot as Chen Po-liang and Xavier Chen converted penalties in the 44th and 75th. In between, Sharbinee Ramli stopped a Chen penalty in the 61st minute. In the first leg of the tie on Wednesday, Malaysia defeated Taiwan 2-1.
