OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE The former first-class cricketer Mr Tahir Shah said that umpiring standard in domestic cricket is very poor that needed improvement. He demanded of the Pakistan Cricket Board to keep check on umpiring in domestic cricket and the standard should be improved. He alleged that the umpiring standard in domestic cricket is very bad and bowler done ball-tampering during the event except final that show live on TV. He also slammed the Lahore team management for not playing Usman Salahuddin in any of the Twenty20 National Cup tournament that concluded just recently. He alleged that the president and secretary of Lahore Region failed in dealing with the association affairs and has no right to leave the body. He demanded their resignation for destroying city cricket and dropping deserve players. He said manager of team Mian Javed Ali should stepped down after accepting the mistakes committed by him during the tournament. Meanwhile, the 20 clubs of East Zone have demanded resignation of Mian Javed Ali, and Kh Nadeem Ahmed, president and secretary of Lahore Region respectively, for their failure in the National Twenty20 Cup tournament. The clubs also flayed the poor performance in semi-final against minnows Rawalpindi Rams. The clubs blamed Mian Javed, Kh Nadeem, coach Azmat Rana, skipper M Yousuf and Akmal brothers for their failure in defending the title. He also praised the organisers of the Faysal Bank management, sponsors of National T20 cricket, and administration for organisation tournament in a peaceful manner and providing entertainment to Faisalabadis. He also congratulated Rawalpindi Rams for winning the title.
