Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the departments concerned to take measures to deal with the situation arising out of smog.

He issued these directions from London and said that people should be educated about smog-related diseases and safety measures. He said that recommendations of experts should be implemented in letter and spirit to offset the impact of smog and special arrangements should be made to save the vulnerable segments like children and elderly people from the impact of smog. He said the action plan devised to deal with smog must be implemented and line departments should work in an organised manner. He said that all steps should be taken to prevent road accidents during smog. –Staff Reporter
