Rawalpindi - Airport police have nabbed two of the four accused involved in the murder of a man identified as Sheraz Bhatti, informed sources on Friday. The detained persons have confessed their crime.

According to sources, police found the dead body of Sheraz Bhatti wrapped in a carpet and dumped in a plot located at Wakeel colony, on October 21. A murder case had been registered with Police Station (PS) Airport against the unknown killers.

During a raid at Wakeel colony by special investigation team, formed by City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi under supervision of SP Potohar Division Syed Ali, police arrested two killers identified as Usman and Usama. Two other killers are still at large. According to sources, Sheraz, a resident of Mughalabad, was killed by his brother in law Usman for torturing his sister and other family members on a monetary issue.

Sharing the details about initial investigation, SP said that Sheraz Bhatti married the sister of accused and divorced her later. He once again got in touch with his former wife, developed relations with her and started living with Usman and his family. Usman and three others engineered a plan to kill Sheraz for which they invited him to a house to have alcohol. Syed Ali added that the accused men made Sheraz consume an excessive amount of liquor and then stabbed him to death. The killers threw the dead body in an open place after wrapping it in a carpet.

He said that Usman and Usama have confessed their crime while search for the other two is underway. Police has also found three dead bodies from limits of PS Airport. He said the two dead bodies have been identified so far whereas police are trying to ascertain the identity of the third dead body of a girl found dumped near a Nullah on Rehmatabad.
