Top preparation

Indian forces are continuously indulging in gross violation of the ceasefire line on control (LOC) and killing innocent civilians every other day almost though being given befitting response by our army.

It is quite good that Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said in quite categorical terms that the highest level of preparedness will continue to be maintained against perpetual threat of aggression from India on the Line of Control (LoC) and Line of Actual Contact (LAC).

He has quite rightly said in assertively that thet there cannot be any let-up in our preparedness for response against perpetual threat on our eastern border including LoC and LAC.

According to the reports in the media, the Army Chief said this after receiving a comprehensive briefing at the 10 Corps Headquarters which is responsible for the region’s security about the situation along the LoC and LAC and operational preparedness of the formations.

As is generally known, the LoC is the line separating Indian occupied Kashmir and Azad Kashmir whereas LAC is the 140 kilometer long line beginning in the Siachen Glacier region and running up to the northernmost demarcated point of the India-Pakistan ceasefire line.

It is also a matter of record that the Foreign Office has been summoning Indian High Commission officials and lodging protests with them about persistent killing of innocent civilians in Indian forces firing across LoC also on several occasions warned that continued ceasefire violations threaten regional peace as these can lead to some strategic miscalculations.
