SADIQABAD - Results of the second phase of local bodies’ elections will prove that the PPP’s claim of having majority in the district council is nothing but a pack of lies, PML-N MPA Hashim Jawan Bakht said.

In a meeting held with PML-N councillors here at the residence of Provincial Minister for Industries Ch Muhammad Shafique, he claimed that results of the second phase of local bodies’ elections on reserved seats will prove that the PPP has no noticeable presence and has been swept away from Punjab. He urged the elected UC chairmen to work hard to make the party candidates successful in the elections.

On the occasion, provincial minister Ch Shafique said with the public assistance, the PML-N has won all the six seats of union councils in his constituency, adding the party office bearers and enthusiastic workers will spare no effort to make the party’s nominated candidates successful in the second phase of LB poll. “Opponents’ dream of getting majority in district council will never be materialised,” he claimed. PML-N councillors Ch Abdul Qayyum, Sardar Abdul Rehman, Waseem Warnd and Khalid Cheema also attended the meeting.
