ISLAMABAD - Pakistan People’s Party Islamabad chapter President Malik Jamshed was injured in a knife attack here late Saturday night.

Police said unidentified miscreants attacked Malik Jamshed with a knife in Sector D-13 of the federal capital, injured him and fled. He was shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for treatment.

The PPP leadership has strongly condemned the attack on the party leader, urging the authorities to bring the culprits to book.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad police have started the investigation after registering a case.
