LDA starts Kasur bypass project

LAHORE - Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has extended its development activities to the adjoining districts of Lahore and started execution of Kasur Bypass project which will be completed at a cost of Rs1.5 billion within four months.
This 9.5km-long two-lane dual carriage way will link Ferozepur Road at Sadar Dewan to Depalpur Road at Faqir Wali in district Kasur. Central median of the road will be 10 feet wide and will accommodate state of the art arboriculture work and LED street lights. Roundabouts will be constructed along the road for self regulating of traffic.
Massive tree plantation will also be carried out at outer corridors in a width of 20 feet on either side of the road.
The project will result in enormous fuel cost and time saving and thousands of vehicles will be benefitted after its completion.
NEW TOWN PLANNING OFFICERS: The LDA on Friday announced names of eight candidates who have been selected as Assistant Director (Town Planning).
The seven candidates selected on open merit are Saqlain Akbar, Muhammad Mashhood Arif, Ammar Yasir, Muhammad Zohaib Anwar, Usman Bashir, Ahmad Adeel and Aqsa Jabeen while Iqra Ismail has been selected on women’s quota.
All these candidates have been recruited in BS 17 on contract basis for a period of three years. Services of National Testing Service had been hired for ensuring transparency and merit in the recruitment procedure and candidates shortlisted on the basis of educational qualification as well as the NTS test were called for interview.
