DUBAI - Pakistan squash future Shahjehan Khan, son of ex-Pakistan squash great Zarak Jehan Khan, stunned sixth seed Reiko Peter of Switzerland 3-0 in the $10,000 PSA International Florida Open first round match. Talking to The Nation, Shahjehan said: “It was a great victory keeping in mind Reiko is currently world number 99 and an experienced player. I really enjoyed this victory and attribute it to my coach and father Zarak Jehan. “I settled down well in the first game and took it 11-6. Reiko bounced back and took 5-2 lead, but I caught him and took the game 11-7. In the third game, we fought for each and every point and finally, I prevailed and took the game 12-10. I saved two game points before winning the game. Now I will face Christopher Binnie of Jamaica in quarterfinals today (Saturday).”
