PML-N won elections thru NRO with terrorists: Bilawal

LAHORE -  Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari yesterday said PML-N had been winning elections under an ‘NRO with terrorists’ and the recent nexus between them has been exposed again recently in AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan.

“The PML-N has signed an NRO with terrorists. Even today, Mian Nawaz Sharif is ready to become Ameerul Momineen as he has a hidden beard in his stomach,” he remarked while addressing the PPP workers from GB at Party’s 49th Foundation Day celebrations being held at Bilawal House in Lahore.  Yesterday was reserved for PPP workers from GB and AJK.

He said the PML-N and its interior minister were applying and exploiting the National Action Plan for political victimisation instead of targeting the terrorists.

“Ch Nisar wept over the killing of Hakeemullah Mehsud and started missing NAP against Dr Asim and Ayyan Ali,” he stated.

Bilawal said that it was only his family, the PPP and the army Jawans who were fighting the terrorists and embracing martyrdom. All others, he added, were doing politics only over anti-terrorism policy.

He alleged the PML-N fielded terrorists against his party candidates in GB elections. He blamed the PML-N for hiding its extremism behind the clean-shaven faces. “We have Bhutto power and they have Zia power. We had defeated Zia. We defeated Musharraf. The PPP have defeated Nawaz Sharif several times and will defeat him again in 2018 general elections,” he asserted.

Alleging that the PML-N won the previous elections through massive rigging, Bilawal demanded that next elections in all the four provinces, AJK and GB should be held simultaneously.

Bilawal The PPP chairman said he would occupy the politics of Punjab through democratic means and PPP would have its own prime minister and president after 2018 elections. He reiterated that PPP would win the next general elections and form its government in the centre and the four provinces.

“Bilawal Bhutto would be elected as prime minister and Asif Ali Zardari as the president of Pakistan”, he added.

He demanded development projects worth billions for Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) as Punjab was getting Orange Line Train project that has cost around Rs 2 billion.

Talking about the treatment meted out to PM’s adviser on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz at the Heart of Asia Conference in Amratsar, the PPP leader said that had there been a full-time foreign minister, he would have given a befitting reply to Indian PM Narendra Moodi for his outbursts against Pakistan.

He was of the view that the PML-N leadership had no vision to address issues of foreign policy. “There are interested only in metro trains, bridges and other such projects”, he said.

Speaking on the occasion, Qamar Zaman Kaira said that elections in AJK and GB were stolen by the PML-N government.  He further said that it was Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto who abolished Sardari system in GB and empowered the common man unlike Nawaz Sharif who reversed the system and pushed back the poor masses.

Former GB CM Mehdi Shah said that people of his area got their legitimate rights during the last tenure of the PPP.He pledged that PPP would also give provincial status to GB region.

He pointed out that President Asif Ali Zardari silently laid foundation of CPEC and warned PML-N government that people of Gilgit-Baltistan won’t allow CPEC to pass from their area if their rights in the project were not ensured.

Earlier, PPP, GB chapter president Amjad Hussain adorned Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari with traditional Gilgit cap and Chogha.

Former prime ministers, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf, Leader of the Opposition Syed Khurshed Shah, former Sindh CM Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Senator Sherry Rehman and others were also present. Traditional music and songs from GB were also played on the occasion.
