MIRPUR (AJK)-AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that the people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir were struggling for their freedom under the spirit of the United Nations resolutions.
Indian Interlocutors have already been rejected by Kashmiri leadership and they seek a solution to the Kashmir dispute according to UN resolutions, he added. He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of UK-based Think Tank - Conciliation Resources. They called on him under the leadership of by Sardar Tahir Aziz and Mrs. Alex Scofield.
He said that the situation in the occupied Kashmir was very worrisome. Indian forces have started serious and deteriorating human rights violations in occupied Kashmir, he said. He stated that the United Nations had acknowledged the right to self-determination of Kashmiri people. He said India was trying to suppress the voice of Kashmiris in presence of more than 8 million paramilitary forces and making the disputed territory a military state for they chant slogans for freedom .
“People of occupied Kashmir have rejected all the packages from India, However, Pakistan is the final destination of Kashmiris and will continue to offer sacrifices till the achievement of the destination; Kashmiri have clarified their position on India by raising slogans of Pakistan and hoisting green flag,” the PM reiterated.
He also apprised the delegation about the vice versa situation in Azad Kashmir, saying that the independent territory of Azad Kashmir is developing rapidly and people are living in a peaceful environment. “Steps are being taken under the systematic strategy for implementation and development plans in AJK and all the necessary measures are being taken to strengthen the merit and justice system; Natural resources have been utilised for tourism enhancement and hydropower projects. He said tourism corridor in Azad Kashmir has been introduced with an investment of 10 billion rupees and it will revolutionise the sector in Azad Kashmir,” he added.
He called on Raja Zafarul Haq and congratulated him on being elected as Chairman of PML-N. He also briefed the chairman that the Indian occupation forces were busy in the massacres of the masses, particularly targeting Kashmiri youth.
He said, “Kashmir is a matter of our lives and death. We will never leave Kashmir alone. Political, moral and diplomatic support for the freedom movement will continue.” He also attended the meeting of Central Executive Committee of Pakistan Muslim League-N. The meeting was comprised of 27 party members.
