BEIJING (Reuters) - Three civilians were killed in rioting that struck the regional capital of Chinas far west Xinjiang region on Sunday, the official Xinhua news agency reported. The brief report said the dead were three ordinary people of the Han ethnic group, killed in rioting in Urumqi that witnesses and other sources have said involved members of the Uighur ethnic minority. More than 20 others were injured in the incident and many motor vehicles were burned, added the Xinhua report.
