ISLAMABAD - Right to information is the basic right of every citizen of Pakistan, said the speakers in a workshop organised by Centre for Peace and Development Initiative (CPDI).
The CPDI in collaboration with Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) on Wednesday organised a one-day workshop for journalists of the twin cities on Right to Information and Investigative Reporting, here at local hotel.
Manager Transparency and Right to Information Coordinator Malik Saleem Iqbal presented the historical development of Right to Information (RTI) legislation in Pakistan at federal, provincial and local government level.
Moreover, speakers on the occasion highlighted CPDI’s personal experiences of submitting information requests.
The journalists learned that how to access the information and participated in practical group work and thorough discussions to explore the various modalities surrounding the Right to Information (RTI) regime in Pakistan.
