MULTAN - Former Prime Minister and PPP Vice Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that he was no more a target for the returning officer rather he was among the masses now.
Addressing party workers at the residence of PPP local leader Salimur Rehman Mayo here on Saturday, the former PM went on to say the PPP believed in democracy and seeking party ticket was the right of the workers. They should express their opinion before parliamentary board openly, however, the workers should also respect decisions of parliamentary board,” he elaborated.
Gilani pointed that no one could become a member of assembly unless he showed his assets, adding that difference of opinion in the party rank and file was the real democracy. He claimed that he had experienced premiership and had no more desire to come into power . “I will serve party by staying in the party”, he said.
