QUETTA - A protest demonstration was staged by the Baloch Human Rights Organisation outside the Quetta Press Club against the alleged military operation in Dera Bugti and Naseerabad.
The protestors, including men and women, were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans such as, “Stop Balochs’ Genocide” and “United Nation, Take Notice of Balochs’ Genocide’.
Addressing the protestors, speakers said that the violation of the human rights had become an order of the day by the forces in Balochistan. They added that forces had launched military operations in Dera Bugti and Naseerabad on a wide scale. “Many of the people have been arrested and a many homes set ablaze in the operation,” they said. They alleged that Bagian Bugti, Saddiq Bugti, Usman s/o Juro Bugti, Shahnawaz Bugti, Wal Bagia Bugti had been kidnapped, expressing the fear that they might also be killed and dumped in barren places like other Baloch youth.
They accused that the forces also set villages Pir Bhakhsh Bugti, Mughal Bugti, Rehan Bugti and Qaisar Bugti on fire, and looted cash, Jewellery, bikes and cattle of the villagers. They accused the forces of looting Rs150,000 from the house of one Juniad Bugti and Rs800,000 from the house of Mughal Bugti.
They accused that in a similar incident, a Baloch student, Muslim s/o Master Imamdin, was kidnapped from Panjgoor and military operations had been launched in Mashky, Khuzdar and Naseerabad.
They alleged that the population in Mastung, Naseerabad, Jafferabad, Mashky, Awaran, Kalt, Magnochar and other areas was also targeted in the same way previously. They alleged that the forces had unleashed terror on the Baloch population, crossing all the civilised society’s norms. They appealed to the national and international humanitarian organisations to take notice of the alleged atrocities.
