LAHORE – A delegation of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan led by its president Sahibzada Abu-al-Khair Muhammad Zubair met JI Ameer Munawar Hasan at Mansoora on Saturday.
The delegation was welcomed by Munawar Hasan, Liaqat Boloch and others JI leaders. Leader of both parties discussed the mater of mutual interest regarding the forthcoming general elections.  They agreed upon saving the division of religious vote. They were of the view that the religio-political parties should not field against each others. A participant of the meeting told TheNation that JUP was trying to forge an electoral alliance. He said the JUP president was in contact with various political parties in this regard. He said in the meeting Sahibzada Abu-al-Khair Muhammad Zubair said to call a meeting of the parties from Punjab, who were part of MMA and devise a formula for seat adjustment.
