JHANG/OKARA/TOBA TEK SINGH/HAFIZABAD/SHEIKHUPURA/BAHAWALPUR - At least 11 persons including three women were killed and three others injured in separate incidents of enmity, honour killing and road accidents over the past 24 hours.
According to detail, in a Jhang a girl was gunned down for honour in Chak 250 situated in the remit of Mochiwala Police. As per details, the accused namely Muhammad Anwar suspected his sister of  having illicit relations with someone of the village at which he opened indiscriminate firing, killing her on the spot. The Mochiwala Police have registered case against the culprit. In a road mishap which occurred on Jhang-Bhakkar Road a speeding tractor-trolley crushed to death a passerby. Reportedly one Ghulam Shabbir, a resident of Chak Sheikhana was awaiting a bus at Adda Sheikhana when a speeding tractor-trolley hit him. Resultantly he sustained serious injuries and breathed his last on the spot. The Jhang Saddr Police have registered a case against driver Zulfiqar.
In another road accident, the lone brother of three sisters was killed. According to source, Imran, a resident of Khanewal came to Garh Mahraja to attend the marriage ceremony of his relatives. He was going on a bike from Garh Morr to Garh Mahraja when suddenly his bike collided with motorcycle rickshaw coming from the opposite direction. Resultantly he died instantly while other five others including his sister sobia, Haji Ismail, Shazia, Kiran and Qaiser sustained critical wounds and were admitted to Rural Health Centre Garh Mahraja.
Meanwhile, a woman slaughtered her husband to avenge the murder of his farther. According to details, Wali Dad, a resident of Mauza Langrana murdered his father-in-law over a petty family issue some year back. However, his wife had borne a grudge against her husband. The other night she slaughtered her husband to avenge his father death. The police have registered against alleged accused.
In OKARA, a man was killed and his brother injured in a collision between a tractor and a motorcycle.
As per details, a student namely Mohammad Nadeem, son of Shaukat Ali, a resident of Samadpura along with his brother Waseem was on the way to see their relatives on a motorcycle. When they reached Depalpur Road near 49/2L, a speeding a tractor-trolley coming from the opposite direction ran over them. As a result Nadeem was killed on the spot while Waseem sustained wounds and was rushed to hospital. The tractor driver fled the scene.
In TOBA TEK SINGH, a man namely Rana Fayaz was killed over old enmity and two rickshaw drivers were also injured in the incident in Chak 521/GB in the remit of Saddr Police area on Saturday.
The deceased was standing outside a shop in village when three unidentified motorcyclists reached there and fired on him. Resultantly he and two rickshaw drivers Rashid and Shah Sawar sustained critical wounds. They were admitted to DHQ Hospital where Fayaz succumbed to wounds.
In HAFIZABAD, a villager of Parr Massu was killed on-the-spot when a speeding truck hit his bike on Sukheke-Sargodha Road near Chowki Sukheke Saturday afternoon.
According to police source, Muhammad Sharif was on the way to Sukheke Mandi on his bike. When reached near Chowki Sukheke a recklessly-driven truck coming to the opposite direction hit his bike, killing him on the spot. The Sukheke Police have registered a case.
Meanwhile, the dead body of an unidentified girl was found floating by the villagers in QB Link Canal near Shori Chattha. The police recovered the mutilated dead body from the canal and sent for autopsy. There were visible signs of torture on the body. Apparently the accused had killed her and thrown the dead body in the canal to conceal their offence. The police are investigating.
In SHEIKHUPURA, a PPP Jiyala was electrocuted while hanging a banner of a candidate in Rasool Nagar locality. According to details, Latif, father of four children was hanging a banner to an electric pole of PPP candidate for PP-167 Mian Pervez. Meanwhile, he touched a live wire due to which he sustained severe electric shocks and lost his life instantly.
In BAHAWALPUR, a couple was killed when a speeding truck hit a motorcycle they were going on near Ahmadpur East, some 54-km from here on Saturday.
Javed was returning home on a motorcycle with his wife Razia when a speeding truck hit them. As a result both sustained critical injuries and were rushed to hospital, but they succumbed to their injuries on the way.
The truck driver managed to flee. The police shifted the bodies for autopsy and registered a case.
