LAHORE - Hannes Huckebrink – ibvogt GmbH (Germany), Country Head for Pakistan and Bangladesh, has said that Punjab is proving to be an ideal destination to invest because of its vibrant middle class and hardworking workforce. During a visit to the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT), Hannes Huckebrink mentioned that Punjab government is taking active measures for boosting investment and for creating an investment-friendly environment in the province.

CEO PBIT, Jahanzeb Burana welcomed Hannes Huckebrink, while a detailed and thorough discussion relating to the current and new potential projects was held between CEO PBIT and the German investor.

Ibvogt GmbH has been specializing in solar project development since 2002 and with years of experience in solar engineering and project development, they excel at maximizing the clean energy potential of this renewable power technology. IbvogtGmbh had been interacting with Punjab government since 2015, and is showing immense interest in investing in solar energy in Punjab. The discussion focused around investing into renewable energy sector of Punjab and required facilitation from PBIT in this regard.

The German shared the status of their project regarding installation of mid size grid solar plants in Punjab. He also highlighted that due to the transparency in solar power projects and an excellent environment, Punjab is proving to be an ideal destination to invest.

He valued PBIT’s role in facilitating investors and intended to invest in Punjab to be a part of Pakistan’s rising growth story.

PBIT CEO Jahanzeb Burana assured the active participation in supporting, facilitating and expediting to complete their investment project and providing every possible assistance to them. He stated that this investment will be a key milestone in enhancing collaboration between Germany and Pakistan. Hence this venture is a great achievement by PBIT and a big step towards a prosperous Punjab. While addressing the meeting, he emphasized that PBIT is taking determined initiatives to facilitate the potential investors and is functioning as one stop shop in order to facilitate local as well as international investors.
