FAISALABAD-Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Iqbal Khan on Wednesday said that the contribution of Muslim scientists to Tibb medicines is remarkable as they opened up golden chapter of glory in the field.
It is the duty of medical experts to serve the humanity with honestly and dedication, he said while addressing an annual Tibb Conference and convocation arranged by the National Council for Tibb at Iqbal Auditorium, University of Agriculture Faisalabad.
He said that Punjab government was taking result-oriented measurers for the development of the field and to address the problems of the common man with special focus on health and education. While congratulating the passing out students of Tibb, he urged them to serve the people truthfully and sincerely. He said that the country was blessed with tremendous talent. There is a need to explore the potential. He added that Pakistan China Economic Corridor is a marvelous step that will bring the country to the new height of the development and prosperity. He said that CPEC will connect three continents including Asia, Africa and Europe.
He said that the country was facing different challenges including terrorism for which Pak Army and Security Forces are taking all possible measures. He added that the development of every sector is the mission of PML-N. He said that the Punjab chief minister first time in the history of country had offered foreign visits to topper students to different countries to get benefit from each other experiences.
UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar congratulated the passing out students of Tibb. He said that the UAF was offering the degree programme and short courses in nutrition that will help the issue of increasing malnutrition affecting 50 percent of children and women. He said that quality education would pave the way for the progress of the country. He urged the Tibb experts to serve the humanity with dedication. Chairman Department of Bio Chemistry Dr Khalil Ur Rehman said that 40,000 Tibb experts were working in the country and said that Tibb University needs to be established in the country. Khalid Zubair , the topper of Tibb said, “It is our duty to serve the humanity and we will perform our duty with dedication.”
