Premier Energy, SERC to establish accredited vocational training institute

Premier Energy and South Eastern Regional College Lisburn have joined hands for collaboration in the fields of solar energy, electrical installation and environmental technologies which will begin with the provision of international exposure to various training programs and allow them to become an integral part of the technical training institute to be established in Pakistan, said Daniyal Siddiqui, Country Head Premier Energy.

Addressing a simple but impressive ceremony at company’s head office in Lahore on Thursday, he said that the collaboration is expected to result in the planning, execution and operations of a technical training Institute in Pakistan, providing "Accredited Vocational Training Programs" while at the same time meeting the needs of the industry.

The field of renewable energy despite all its potential has not been able to gain its due popularity in the state of Pakistan, primarily due to lack of equipment standardization, lack of proper training and awareness. Keeping the scenario in mind, Premier Energy aims to revolutionise the energy sector through the provision of superior quality products and exceptional services to all its clients, he added.

As flag bearers, Premier maintains a history of organising training sessions, conferences, seminars and awareness programs aimed at promoting the use of renewable energy resources and also developing young, dynamic and well qualified individuals to lead the industry and result in changing the energy consumption patterns of the state.

In the same regard Premier has joined hands with SERC and is hopeful to not only produce well trained individuals through the accredited vocational training programs but also lead to the energy independence of Pakistan through the effective use and promotion of renewable energy resources.

During the visit of Team SERC led by Paul at Premier Energy’s Lahore Head Office, Haania Ali; Manager Business Development Premier Energy briefed the media partners regarding the significance of this collaboration.

“This will be crucial to the provision of sustainable energy solutions and will result in the energy independence of the country. We thank SERC for providing us with the appropriate platform and required trainings to ensure the establishment of a fully functional internationally accredited renewable energy training institute in Pakistan with the name 'PremSol'. We believe together we can and together we will co build a greener tomorrow for generations to come,” she said.
