Our Staff Reporter MULTAN - Former foreign minister and vice chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mahmood Qureshi claimed on Wednesday that many MNAs and MPAs of the PPP had approached him and were in constant contact with him. Addressing the participants of a gathering held at the residence of a former local PPP leader Khalid Javed Warraich on the occasion of his joining PTI, he added that at least 60 MPAs were missing from Governor Punjabs party in Lahore. It is reflective of the fact that even PPP members do not agree with the policies of the government and want change, he maintained. He said that the masses did not want change of mere faces rather they wanted shift in mindset. He said that the nation was tired of Zardari-Gillani duo and wanted to get rid of them. He added that the nation exhibited trust in PTI leadership as it did in 1970s in Bhutto. He said that Zardari gave up Bhuttos philosophy and stared at America while Imran Khan neglected USA and adopted Bhuttos philosophy. He said that it was high time that the politicians should give up politics of greed and lust and go out for building a prosperous Pakistan. He said that Pakistan came into being after tremendous sacrifices rendered by the Muslims. Though we did not see making of this country, unfortunately we witnessed its dismemberment, he regretted. He claimed that the PTI would give a new dimension to the politics in Pakistan. He said that he rejected big offers and jumped into the ground for a big fight. Ive taken off from Ghotki and I want to tell disillusioned people that PTI is not limited to any one province rather it emerged as a national party, he added. He said that the Lahore public meeting of PTI was attended by one such portion of public that was tired of politics. He said that literate portion of society had become active for the success of PTI and the results of coming polls would be amazing. To a query, he said that rumours were circulating that something was going to happen and contradictory reports appeared on presidents departure. But instead of presidency, the spokesperson for the prime minister is giving statements, he added. He said that the PTI would show its cards at the time of by election. Earlier, Khalid Javed Warraich announced to join PTI along with his friends and supporters.
