OUR STAFF REPORTER NANKANA SAHIB - Yellow Cabs Scheme is getting slow momentum due to sluggish processing of successful and nominated candidates data by Punjab Bank Headquarters, it is learnt here Wednesday. Unfortunately, candidates from Lahore division who applied for Yellow Cab Scheme and declared successful after draw and subsequent scrutiny, are getting frustrated due to delay in counter-checking of their documents and allegedly intentional hurdles & unnecessary delay in submission of candidates data by Punjab Bank Headquarters. Only 87 out of total 222 candidates got verification in the district, whereas documents of 87 candidates were found fake and 57 cases are still pending to be cleared after verification of their educational certificates and driving license from different districts. Selected candidates informed TheNation that they had already deposited their amount in the Bank of Punjab. They appealed to CM Shahbaz Sharif and DCO Hassan Iqbal that vehicles must be handed over to them as early as possible after verifications of their documents, enabling them to start their works as they are jobless.
