RAWALPINDI- Police found a bullet-riddled body of a 35-years old man from Railway Ground here at Ratta Amral area on Friday.

Later, the dead body was shifted to District Headquarter Hospital (DHQ) for autopsy while no heir of the deceased has approached police so far for legal action.

Police recovered the dead body from Railway Ground on information provided by some children who were playing cricket there in the morning. There are two bullet marks on head whereas multiple bullet injuries could also be seen between the thighs of the deceased, police said.

Man gets death for murder:

A court of Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) has awarded death sentence to an accused for killing a man in the limits of Police Station (PS) Waris Khan.

According to the judgement, the court has also penalised the accused with Rs 200,000 fine. Munib Akram was shot dead by Rao Ishtiaq Khurshid some time ago while murder case of which was registered with PS Waris Khan.

After hearing the arguments of Malik Zahir Arshad Advocate, appeared on behalf of the deceased, ASJ Kalim Khan held Ishtiaq guilty of killing Munib by firing gunshots. The judge also imposed Rs 200,000 fine on the murderer.

In a separate hearing, Control of Narcotics Substance Court Judge Arshad Mehmood Tabbasum awarded four years imprisonment to a smuggler with Rs 0.1 million fine whereas dropped the charges against another accused due to absence of evidence.

The judge awarded four years imprisonment to one Javed with Rs 100,000 fine and ordered release of another accused Kifayat Ullah in heroin recovery case by Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) atBenazirBhuttoInternationalAirport.
