The Punjab chief secretary Friday called on Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The agenda of the meeting was upcoming budget and administrative issues including the reshuffling of bureaucracy that was widely disturbed during the general elections. Sources said the CS discussed officers who would be repatriated from Centre to serve in Punjab.  The finance secretary and P&D chairman also attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, the federal government notified transfers of officers including Nabeel Ahmad Awan, Ahad Khan Cheema, Abdul Jabbar Shaheen, Dr Tauqir Shah and former DG Sports Usman Anwar. All the officers will be given important responsibilities in the new set up. Cheema is expected to grab Lahore Development Authority DG slot, sources added.–Staff Reporter
