 ‘Forced’ evacuation
of school building protested
Scores of students and teachers of Government Girls Primary School Nichari Road came on roads, protesting against what they called their ‘forced evacuation’ from the school building.  They gathered outside the Balochistan Education Department office and chanted slogans in favour of their demands. They were also carrying banners and placards.
Talking to media, the protesting teachers and students said the government, after hiring the building on rent, had established the school some 60 years ago.
Now, owners of the building are forcing the school management to evacuate it at the time when exams are underway.
They termed the forceful evacuation as an anti-education step, adding that this uncalled decision could affect students’ educational activities.
They appealed to the higher authorities to take notice of the matter keeping in view the troubles being faced by both teachers and students.
