ISLAMABAD - The Serena Hotels National Tennis Championship 2015 will roll into action from May 12 here at the Islamabad Club tennis courts.
The players will feature in six different categories including men's singles and doubles, ladies' singles, boys' U-18, U-14 and veterans. Serena Hotels (South & Central Asia) CEO Aziz Boolani said: "Serena Hotels is committed to promoting young and rising talent across Pakistan. Our sports diplomacy initiative gives sports enthusiasts the opportunity to showcase their athletic talent on a larger platform. This tournament will hopefully also go a long way in promoting tennis across the country.”
Top ranked players Aqeel Khan, M Mudassar and Nofill Kaleem have confirmed their entries in the event. Moreover, Argentinean ambassador Dean of Diplomatic Corps HE Rodolfo Martin Saravia has also confirmed participation in the championship which carries prize money of worth Rs 300,000 to be distributed amongst the players.
The interested players can send their entries latest by May 11 to the PTF. Shahzad Akhtar Alvi will be the referee. The finals of the tournament will be played on May 17.
