KARACHI - A sixteen-year-old angry girl shot dead her boyfriend for allegedly cheating here on Monday.
According to media reports, Bilal Colony’s resident Manthar and Yasmin were friends. Manthar was the friend of girl’s former fiancé but developed covert relations with her.
Yasmin has no regret of killing her boyfriend as she alleged that he was cheating her and she punished him for that.
Police have registered a case against Yasmin and arrested her with the weapon. The victim was blackmailing the girl, informed the investigation officer.

An activist of the MQM was shot dead in Phool Chowk within the remits of Kharader police station.
Police said that victim Anwar Usman, resident of Pan Mandi, was picked by unidentified men in the morning when he left for work. Later, they dumped his bullet-riddled body at the said place.
Separately, a man was gunned down near UP-More, within the jurisdiction of New Karachi police station. Police officials said that victim Mohammad Irfan, 30, son of Ismail, resident of sector 11-E, North Karachi, was going somewhere when unidentified armed riders targeted him. Resultantly, he sustained multiple wounds and died on the spot. His body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for autopsy and later handed over the heirs. Police informed that victim Irfan was recently released from jail and was nominated in various cases. In same police precincts, a man killed his wife and wounded his daughter in Sector-2, Yousuf Goth.
Police said that culprit Jawaid, along his friends, entered his house and opened fire at her wife Tasleem. As a result culprit’s wife was killed on the spot while his daughter Saima was injured. The injured and body were shifted to ASH for postmortem and treatment. Police said that Jawaid was a block-maker and was suspicious of his wife’s character. Police have registered a case.
Separately, a burnt body of a man was found from Hall located in Sector-3, Kaneez Fatima Society, within the remits of Surjani Town police station. Police officials said that victim’s identification has yet to be ascertained.
The body was shifted at ASH for medicolegal formalities and later moved to morgue for identification. Police said some unidentified culprits tortured and killed the victim and later burnt his body.
Mubina Town Police found a body of an eight-year-old boy. The body was shifted to morgue for identification after autopsy. Doctors said that culprits strangulated the boy before throwing his body at the said place.
