ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is leaving for Qatar on a two day official visit today (Wednesday).

The prime minister is visiting Qatar on the invitation of  Qatri Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by a high-level delegation. During the visit, the Prime Minister will have meetings with the Emir Qatar and key members of Qatari cabinet besides signing  a number of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).  The two sides would also hold wide-ranging delegation level talks.

According to Foreign Office spokesman, PM Nawaz Sharif will leave for Qatar today on a two days official visit at the invitation of Qatri Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and he will also  meet  and Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

A number of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in the field of health, radio, television, education, research and a long-term sale/purchase agreement (SPA) of LNG would be concluded by both sides, said Foreign Office in a press release issued here on Tuesday.

The main focus of the Prime Minister's visit and interaction with the Qatari leadership will be on further enhancement of bilateral relations in various fields, including energy cooperation, trade and investment, defence and increase in employment opportunities for the Pakistani workforce in Qatar . Both leaders would also exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The Emir of the State of Qatar paid a landmark visit to Pakistan on 23-24 March 2015. This return visit by the Prime Minister in a period of less than one year is a testimony of growing relations between the two brotherly countries.

Qatar hosts more than 115,000 Pakistanis, who have been contributing towards the development and prosperity of the country and act as a bridge between the peoples of two brotherly countries.

The JF-17 thunder and Mushak jets will perform aerobatics on the occasion of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Qatar .
