Lahore, Rawalpindi in Blind Cricket final


LAHORE - Lahore and Rawalpindi blind cricket teams entered the Punjab Youth Festival (PYF) 2014 Blind Cricket Tournament final here at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) cricket ground on Saturday. Rawalpindi defeated Bahawalpur in the first semi-final after a tough competition. Rawalpindi scored 137 while batting first and then bowled out Bahawalpur 13 runs short of the target. In the second semi-final, Lahore outplayed Gujranwala without much trouble. Lahore accumulated 158 runs in the allotted overs. In reply, Gujranwala blind cricket team could not cope with the destructive bowling of Lahore bowlers and were bundled out for just 89 runs. The final of tournament will be played on today (Sunday) between Lahore and Rawalpindi.–Staff Reporter
