The Motra Police have registered a case against 80 persons for protesting against rising cattle theft incidents in Daska region and blocking traffic on main Sialkot-Eimanabad Road by parking tractor-trolleys and burning tyres near village Aadam Draaz here on Saturday.
The Motra police have registered case (No 117/2014) under sections 147, 149, 341 and 431 PPC against 80 accused including 23 nominated accused Muhammad Sharif, Ashraf, Shehbaz, Sadique, Ghulam Mustafa, Mazhar Iqbal, Muhammad Shafi, Farooq, Suhail Ashraf, Tanveer Ahmed, Ali Raza, Mohsin Ali, Mohsin Sadique, Umer Javaid, Adnan Iqbal, Zulfiqar Shafi, Maqsud Ahmed, Sufi Anwar, Muhammad Afzaal, Abbas and Maqsud Ahmed.
Police have arrested several accused and sent them behind the bars.
Reportedly, these persons were protesting against the rising cattle theft in the jurisdiction of Motra Police . They were carrying banners and placards and were chanting anti police slogans. They blocked traffic for an hour by parking tractor trolleys and burning tyres on main Sialkot-Daska-Eimanabad Road to lodge strong protest against the rising cattle theft .
Later, the police took legal action against the protesting people and arrested several of them for taking the law into their hands. Further investigations are underway.
Mothers’ cradle termed best institution for kids: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ehsan Iqbal has said that cradle of a mother can be the biggest and best training institute for a child as this training has no alternative in the world, saying that the mother’s training of children in childhood leave unmatched effects on the personality of children.
He stated this while addressing the participants of a special ceremony held at Narowal here on Saturday. Mrs Ehsan Iqbal, MPA Khawaja Waseem Butt, Mrs Sameena Waseem, Narowal DCO Syed Najaf Iqbal, his spouse and PML-N Narowal President Malik Tariq Awan were also present on the occasion.
The Federal Minister urged the mothers to leave no stone unturned for the better physical, mental and educational growth of their children. He said that it was the prime responsibility of all and sundry to provide better and secure future to the coming generations.
Ehsan Iqbal announced early establishment of an international standard engineering university at Narowal, saying that as many as 100 government educational institutions had been upgraded in the district for providing the higher educational facilities to local students.
