Only army chief, chief justice of Pakistan can save democracy: Sheikh Rashid

Islamabad: The Chairman Pakistan Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rasheed on Monday submitted an adjourned motion in the secretariat of National Assembly against Panama Leaks revelations.
It was mentioned in the motion that the issue of Panama Leaks should be taken up in national assembly as the second episode of Panama scandal intensified the issue.
Rasheed said that over 400 names are mentioned in the second list of Panama Leaks and it is a grave national issue that might be a threat to democracy. There should be a transparent investigations into the matter of Panama Leaks revelation if we want to save the democracy.
He further said that only Army Chief and Chief Justice can save democracy and opposition can’t retreat from its basic stance.
