Imran accuses PM of distributing Rs94b among PML-N MPs

| Says Nawaz should be ashamed of himself

PESHAWAR -  Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, while accusing Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi of distributing Rs94 billion among the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz legislators, said that the job of MNAs and MPAs was lawmaking, and not getting involved in development funds.

He, while addressing a public gathering at the polo ground in Chitral on Wednesday, claimed that Abbasi had given Rs94 billion to the MNAs of his party, however, the prime job of the lawmakers was lawmaking, and not indulging in development funds.

Khan said that his party, if it came into power at the centre would impose “four emergencies”.

The PTI chief said that first would be “education emergency” as there was a lot needed to be done in the field of education. Lauding the PTI government’s performance in education sector in the K-P, he said that the provincial government had done a good job.

About the “second emergency”, he informed the participants of the gathering that it would be “environment emergency”.

Khan said environment was getting polluted as around 200 billion trees were cut down during the last tenure of the ANP and the PPP governments.

The “third emergency”, he said, would be imposed to eradicate corruption from the country and rid it of the loans as the burden of debts had caused an increase in taxes due to which poor were becoming poorer.

Imran Khan said that the “fourth emergency” on the list was to streamline administrative affairs in the country.

The PTI chief said the rulers had failed to overcome the issues being faced by the masses, because they had been busy in making money.

He said that coal power plants were being shut down around the world; and Pakistan was the only country to launch such plants.

Khan said the smog had dreadfully affected the major plains of the country due to immense pollution.

Such power plants would definitely add to the pollution, leaving an adverse impact on the environment, he added.

The state institutions are being led by “corrupt mafia”, which is laundering nation’s money abroad, the PTI chairman said. The “corrupt” are being provided a protocol of 40 vehicles, he said, adding the ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif was continuously speaking against the apex court.

INP adds: Reacting to Nawaz Sharif’s criticism of judges, the PTI chairman said the former prime minister should be ashamed of himself for openly attacking the Supreme Court judges.

The PTI chairman took to Twitter and criticised Nawaz Sharif after Pakistan Muslim League leader appeared before an accountability court.

“Nawaz Sharif should be ashamed of himself for openly attacking SC judges simply because they exposed his ill-gotten money & corruption,” he tweeted.

The former cricket captain in another tweet said that Nawaz Sharif was attacking and seeking to destroy institutions to save money plundered from nation.
