KARACHI - Mayor Wasim Akhtar paid a detailed visit to various union councils of district West on Wednesday and met with the elected local representatives.

He also held a meeting with the elected local government representatives including chairmen and vice chairmen of union councils in Orangi Town which was also attended by the MPA Khalid Saifuddin, city council parliamentary leader Aslam Shah Afridi, chairman Land Committee Syed Arshad Hassan and others, said a statement on Wednesday.

The mayor said that the money of the people should spend on public welfare works.

We have given development projects upto Rs 2.5 million worth which are being going to tender process and hope once completed all these works would help solving people’s problems.

The mayor went to various areas of district west he was informed about the problems facing by the Orangi.

Baldia and Surjani Towns on which he said the local problems being solved with the coordination of local elected representatives who knew well such problems and all efforts were being made to provide relief to the people.
