LAHORE - Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) on Tuesday claimed to have seized 96 bottles of Indian liquor during a successful anti-smuggling operation in the Wahga area.
A spokesman for the Pak-Rangers said that the smugglers also opened straight fire on the personnel of Pakistan Rangers when they started chasing them after noticing suspected movement in the border area.
Officials said that the smuggling bid was foiled successfully since the smugglers fled towards the Indian side after a brief crossfire. Further investigation is underway.
