NPT remembers Jameel Sharqpuri

LAHORE - The Nation Editor-in-Chief Dr Majid Nizami said that the Pakistan Movement was a spiritual movement. The great Sufis and mystics of the Subcontinent under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam worked hard for the creation of Pakistan.
The Sharqpur Sharif family participated in the Pakistan Movement whole-heartedly and earned veneration of the people through their religious as well as intellectual services.
Dr Majid Nizami expressed these views in his presidential address at a condolence reference for Sajjada Nasheen Sharqpur Sharif Sahibzada Mian Jameel Ahmad Sharqpuri at the Aiwan-i-Karkunaan-iTehreek-i-Pakistan. The sitting was jointly organised by the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and Tehreek-i-Pakistan Workers Trust on Tuesday.
Dr Majid Nizami further observed that he had a special predilection for the saints of the Sharqpur family.
Prof Rafique Ahmad remarked that the missionary activities of the Sufis, mystics and saints made so many Indians to embrace Islam. We must try our best to promote the mission of Jamil Ahamad Sharqpuri, he added.
Federal Shariat Court Chief Justice (r) Mian Mehboob Ahmed said that key to success in this world and the next one is total obedience to the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The best way to pay tribute to the great saints like Sharqpuri was to follow the course of action that was followed by them.
CPNE President Jamil Athar Surhandi congratulated the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust on organising a condolatory reference for a great saint who firmly believed in the ideology of Pakistan, and whose mission was to revive the ideas of the Mujadad Alif-Sani.
Allama Ahmad Ali Kasuri; Prof Ajmal Niazi, Justice (r) Nazir Ahmad Ghazi; Sahibzada Mian Jalil Ahmad Sharaqpuri, Sahibzada Mian Waleed Ahmed Jawad Naqshbandi Mujaddadi; Sajjada Nasheen Astana-i-Alia Sharqpur Sharif also spoke.
